Mana Maná// Mahna Mahna

The other day, Diego and the girls were watching all the Mahna Manha versions that they found in YouTube. The one I remember watching when I was a kid is the one from 1969, I don't know remember watching the 1972 version. But maybe that version wasn't aired in Mexico. Or maybe it was aired in the late 80´s or in the 90´s. Anyhow, the girls loved the song and kept asking to watch it over and over again. However, the version they like the most is the most recent one from 2007.



El otro día, Diego y las niñas estuvieron escuchando y viendo videos de la canción Mana Maná. El video del que yo me acordaba es el de 1969. No recuerdo haber visto la del 72. Quizá esa versión no se pasó en México, o quizá se pasó a finales de los 80 o en los 90. Pero bueno, el caso es que a las niñas les encantó la canción y quisieron oirla varias veces. Hoy pidieron escucharla otra vez. Pero a ellas la versión que más les gustó es la más reciente: la del 2007.

Concierto de Rock// Rock concert

El sábado fuimos a un concierto de rock para niños de los patita de perro. Cuando llegamos Carmen no estaba muy convencida de que fuera una buena idea esto del concierto. Pero en cuanto vio a MJ, una amiga de ella, le cambió el humor y la carita. Las tres, C, I y MJ, se divirtieron bastante: bailaron, brincaron, corrieron y echaron relajo.

Last Saturday we went to see Los patita de perro, a band that plays rock for children. When we got there, the concert hadn't started and Carmen was not sure going to the concert was a good idea, because she didn't even know who the band was. But when she saw MJ, a friend of hers, her face and mood changed. They all had a great time dancing, jumping, running and being crazy.

Books
It´s sad but I´m not reading anything at the moment. I have several books that I borrowed from the library a month ago, but I haven´t have time to read them. So, I guess I´ll have to renew them in a couple of days. Some of the books I have are:

Poetry Speaks, an anthology which includes 3 audio CDs; The game of words by Willard R. Espy; and, Noah Webster and the American Dictionary by David Micklethwait.

Carmen reads Mafalda very often. And when she does, she asks me to read it with her.

I also love to listen to "radio ombligo" (1)("belly button radio"), a radio program that broadcasts music for children, every morning (well, this semester that I´m teaching at 7AM, I just listen to it twice a week.)

I don´t watch TV. But in the States, I used to watch Law and Order and here, I watched some episodes of The Sopranos a program Diego was addicted to.
