Fiesta de Carmen//Carmen's Birthday Party

Hoy le festejamos a Carmen su cumpleaños en el parque Caña Hueca. Carmen estuvo contenta y se la pasó muy bien. Sólo al principio que no llegaba nadie estaba agüitadona. Pero en cuanto llegó la primera invitada su carita cambió y estuvo feliz.

Today we celebrated Carmen's birthday in a park. Carmen was happy and had a great time. At the beginning she was a bit sad because we thought no one was coming to her party. But as soon as the first girl showed up, she was smiling again.

Manos a la obra // A work in progress

El fin de semana pasado, Diego compró herramientas y madera y se puso a hacer un librero. Aún le faltan dos repisas en la parte de arriba y abajo donde están los libros apilados pensamos poner más repisas para cosas de escritorio pero la verdad es que creo que nos va a faltar espacio para todos los libros así que quizá tenga que aventarse Diego un segundo librero.

Last weekend, Diego bought some tools and wood and he started to make a big bookcase. He hasn't finished it yet. It still needs two more shelves on top and below it will have more shelves but for office stuff. However, I think we would need a second bookcase because we have a lot of books. So, maybe Diego will have to make another bookcase.

Peter Pan

Hace unas semanas, Isabel encontró este disfraz de Peter Pan en la caja de disfraces y anduvo con el todo el día vestida como Peter. Estaba feliz, pues ELLA ES Peter Pan.

A few weeks ago Isabel found this Peter Pan custom in a box and she wanted to wear it all day long. She was really happy, because SHE IS Peter Pan.

Cumpleaños de Carmen/Carmen's birthday

Hoy Carmen cumplió 7 años. Teníamos pensado llevarla a comer a un restaurant que le gusta mucho después de recogerla de la escuela. Todo iba muy bien hasta que llegamos al restaurant y se dio cuenta que traía el uniforme. Por nada del mundo quiso entrar, así que regresamos a casa. Y, mientras preparaba un spaguetti, abrió los regalos que le enviaron sus abuelos y sus yayos. Le encantaron. Muchas gracias!

Today Carmen is 7 years old. Her dad suggested taking her to her favorite restaurant after school. She was happy and excited but as soon as she realized (once we were about to get in the restaurant) that she was wearing her uniform, she just wouldn't get in for anything in the world. So we had to go home. And, while I was cooking dinner, she opened her presents from her grandparents. She loved them all! Thanks!
