A magical moment

Yesterday, I sat down with Carmen to read an I Can Read book. Belkis, a friend of ours from Venezuela, bought the Frog and Toad series for Carmen as a farewell gift a year and a half ago, when we were coming back to Mexico.

In several ocassions, I tried to read them to her, but she just wasn't interested. But yesterday, it was different. At the beginning, she didn't want to read it, but once she started, she didn't want to stop. She found the stories so funny that she kept reading until she finished the whole book. She was all laughs and smiles. She enjoyed the book and I enjoyed watching her.

Clau.

We love those books here as well. I remember reading them as a child so it was wonderful to read to them my own children.

This is certainly a nice book. I read out to my both girls also every day a history. This is already a ritual like the dental cleaning.
Many Greetings Anja

we love frog and toad... except that when i'm reading them to the kids i tend to exaggerate frog and toad's voices so i end up sounding like a loud, high-pithced voiced obnoxious frog and an old, fat, grumpy toad.
