summer time
Hoy inició el horario de verano aquí en México. Pero en Tuxtla, parece que también comenzó el verano por las altas temperaturas que hemos tenido. Ha llegado hasta los 40º C. Al parecer es una onda cálida, pero la gente dice que abril y mayo son los meses más calurosos del año por estos rumbos.
Today began our summer time (Brit. English for daylight saving time.) Not only did we have turned forward our clocks one hour, but we have also been having high temperatures around the 104º F. ora, no sabía que las temperaturas subieran tanto por allá!!!! cómo sobreviven? envidio su fortaleza, pero no el calor que sufren. yo ya me hubiera derretido.
Pues lo bueno es que en la tarde sopla el viento y se refresca. Y bueno, todos los cuartos de la casa tienen ventiladores de techo, con esos hemos sobrevivido hasta el momento.

I didn´t know the name of the tree, Gisele. Thank you! I´ll ask to be sure, but from what I found doing a google search I think you´re right.
So, this tree is what in Portuguese is called "pau d'arco"? It´s beautiful! I love seeing these blooming yellow trees through out the city.
