Las niñas todavía están de vacaciones y las he estado llevando al trabajo. Todos los días les llevo lunch, pero todos los días invariablemente me piden que les compre algo de tomar o de comer.

Hoy no fue la excepción. Tenían sed y hambre (aunque hacía una hora que se habían comido su lunch), pero les dije que en la casa podían tomar agua y comer algo. Nos subimos al carro, lo encendí y en cuanto empezamos a movernos y el viento empezó a entrar por las ventanas, Carmen dijo: "Aire fresco!"

A lo que Isabel rápidamente replicó: "No, Carmen. Aquí no hay refresco!"

This was a phonetic misunderstanding in Spanish, so it´s difficult to translate it. But here´s more or less what happened:

The girls are still on vacation, so I´ve been taking them with me to work. I always make some lunch for them to bring along, but they always ask me to buy them something to eat or drink.

Today wasn´t the exception, but I told them that at home they could eat something and drink all the water they wanted. So, we got in the car and I started it. When the car started to move, Carmen said: "Cool Air!"

Isabel immediately replied: "No, Carmen. There´s no Kool-Aid here!"
