bomberos//firefighters

Hoy fuimos a la estación de bomberos con la escuela de Isabel. Desde hace dos semanas han estado trabajando en este proyecto. L@s niñ@s hicieron sus cascos, sus cinturones y mangueras; y han estado hablando de los bomberos y su trabajo. Tod@s estaban muy emocionad@s.

Today, Isabel had a school trip to the Fire Station. At school they have been working on this project for two weeks. The kids made their hats, their belts and other equipment and have been talking about firefighters and their job. They were very excited.

The fire fighters showed them their equipment.


Los bajaron por el tubo, pero Isabel no quiso. Estaba fascinada viendo cómo bajaban pero ella no se animó. Ya que nos fuimos fue cuando empezó a preguntar si podíamos regresar para bajarse por ahí con un bombero.





The fire fighters slid down the firepole carrying one kid at a time. Isabel didn't want to slid down, but she was fascinated looking at the kids coming down that way. It was until we were on our way home that she started saying that she wanted to come back and try that.

Luego se subieron al camión de bomberos.

Later, they got on the fire engine.


Y por último, l@s niñ@s les dieron unas medallas de agradecimiento.

At the end of their visit, the kids awarded Fire Service Medals to the fire fighters.
